Can you run your own storylines? Yes! Absolutely! Please! Characters who have things to do are a lot more likely to be played than those that don’t! We have an overall story for the room, and large events that progress along with those themes, but that doesn’t mean smaller things can’t be happening at the same time. In order to maintain our room ‘continuity’ we just need to keep track of who is using what. Just post on this thread if you’re making use of someone, when that status changes and anything people may need to know in the future.
Just use common sense. If something is going to a large, longtime effect just run it by myself or Doug (you can reach us in room, via email, on discord DM, whatever!). Or even if you’re just unsure if something is being used, or has been used before.

There are a number of N.O.W.H.E.R.E. operatives that are being NPC’d for that storyline, but they’re all people who I would love for people to still RP if they like it. Characters from Gen 13, Zatanna, older members of the Justice Society, Beast Boy…etc. Have all been presented as willing or unwilling members of N.O.W.H.E.R.E.
